CleanBnB Convention 2022: a close-knit team ready to achieve excellent results in 2022

La CleanBnB Convention, held on Thursday 31 March and Friday 1 April 2022, it was the occasion for gather all employees and collaborators for two intense days of meeting and training, finally in presence.

City Managers from all over Italy to Milan they intervened to take stock and refine tools and approaches in view of a year ahead in strong growth.

CleanBnB has withstood the pandemic well: the market is in a strong recovery

During first quarter 2022 CleanBnB managed 8.928 stays, with an increase of 289% compared to the same period of 2021 and recorded a volume of gross bookings (receipts from guests for managed stays) that exceeded 2,96 million euros (about triple compared to the first quarter of 2021) and keep marching to more than double the pace compared to 2021, a year which in any case closed with over 11,2 million euros in gross bookings.

To better manage a number of reservations, properties and new covered squares in continuous growth, is critical constantly improve efficiency and effectiveness of company activities and processes and refine procedures and strategies.

In the various training sessions that were held during the two days in Milan, therefore, all the operational and strategic areas, starting from the commercial and pricing approach to the administrative and bureaucratic aspects, from guest management to property management, from growth strategies to teamworking, have been reviewed in detail, reworked in the light of the latest market trends and prospects, in a constantly changing context, to improve business and performance. Particularly stimulating were the sessions relating to:

• Identity and mission, market, performance and trend KPIs, objectives and strategies;
• Corporate organization, communication flows, corporate compliance;
• Guest management;
• Property management;
• Commercial best practice;
• The contract;
• Sales and long stays.

Exchange and comparison – Airbnb and market trends

In the various interactive sessions, each of the participants was able to contribute their own knowledge and personal experience to enrich these important moments of discussion and training.

The convention also had the special participation of an external guest: Giacomo Found, Airbnb Country Manager for Italy that, interviewed by President Zorgno, brought the vision of a company with global experience, as well as leaving some ideas and practical suggestions for the future of this market which will see more and more tourists travelling, ever more demanding.

"Quality therefore becomes absolutely essential in the offer of the stay together with the ability to personalize the welcome, also and above all for those who work as a professional manager of a large number of properties".  

In general, the short-term rental sector has seen a reduction in the properties available on the market since the first lockdown, which has rewarded professional operators and raised the quality level of the offer.

Travelers' expectations of apartment hospitality have increased and guests are willing to pay higher prices in exchange for security, bigger houses or longer stays, combining work and vacation, with and without the family.

The pandemic has awakened attention to the environment and nature by favoring rural tourism, but our cities of art always remain at the top of the rankings of the most sought-after destinations around the world.

The importance of the Team – CleanBnB Awards

The CleanBnB Team is distributed throughout the Italian territory, its growth model is based on the presence of local contacts (City Managers), the expert connoisseurs of the territory which is responsible for operational management and commercial development while the booking and revenue management, accounting and administration activities are centralized.

Thanks to technology, the physical distance is eliminated and the flow of communication is constant and fast.

The convention was an important opportunity to reconnect the different people, functions and locations.

This was also the occasion for reward perseverance and determination, trust and the ability to look ahead of all collaborators.

But not only. Also in this edition of the Convention the CleanBnB Awards which awarded the best results in the categories: best place in startup, best commercial performance, best teamwork, best host relationship.
